Robert McHenry

Chairman and CEORobert McHenry

Dr Robert McHenry is Chairman and CEO of OPP Ltd, Oxford, UK. For much of his career, he has worked as a consultant in business psychology for the public and private sectors on staff selection, performance management, succession planning and organisational change. Among his personal clients have been Cadbury Plc, Bass Plc, Intercontinental Hotels, Eli Lilly, Siemens, the Export Credits Guarantee Dept and the United Kingdom Agricultural Research Council. In addition, he is a part-time Faculty member at the Center for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, NC.

Robert founded OPP Ltd in 1989 and has built the company into an international business with offices in Oxford, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Dublin, Copenhagen, Chicago and Champaign IL.

He is committed to creating innovative talent assessment and development methods, and is often credited with re-invigorating these areas by challenging conventional approaches.

Robert holds a doctorate in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University and is Tutor and Lecturer in Experimental Psychology at Oriel College, and a member of the Division of Medical Sciences.


Betsy Kendall

Betsy is the Head of Consultancy and Learning at OPP, and she is responsible for the delivery of OPP's qualification and applications programmes and the provision of OPP's consultancy interventions.

Betsy has worked in OPP since its foundation in 1989, and in that time she has run almost every function within the company. She was responsible for setting up OPP's qualifying training division, and was pivotally involved in designing and developing qualifications workshops for MBTI® Step I, Step II, FIRO-B and CPI. She led the Research and Development team that created the eleven European language versions of the MBTI Step I, and she oversaw the development and standardisation of the European versions of MBTI Step I, FIRO-B and CPI. She is the author of the Manual Supplement for the European MBTI Step I and co-author of the FIRO-B Users Guide.

Betsy has worked across the world, particularly in Europe and the USA, running leadership development interventions, team development processes, and assessment events. She also regularly speaks at national and international conferences, including in Australia, Sweden and the USA, on leadership, team development, and type and culture.

Betsy is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, and is a Member of the Representative Council of the British Psychological Society.


Dan Jennings

Dan Jennings

Executive Director of Finance and Corporate Services

Dan joined OPP in 2002 to head up the Finance and Accounting function and was appointed to the Board in 2004. He also has responsibility for legal matters and facility management.

Prior to joining OPP, Dan held senior financial positions in a variety of international organisations, both large and small, most notably Hewlett-Packard, Barlow Rand and The McGraw-Hill Companies. As CFO of wcities.com Inc. he experienced the excitement of growing a small start up business during the .com boom.

Dan has a joint Honours degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from St.Edmund Hall, Oxford University, and is a Chartered Accountant.




Penny Moyle

Head of Innovation and PublishingPenny Moyle

Penny is Head of Innovation and Publishing at OPP, where she is responsible for the development of OPP's global portfolio of products and services, including the design, development and validation of psychometric tests, and OPP's online product offering.

A Chartered Psychologist with nearly 20 years' experience in Europe and Australia, Penny has provided strategic business psychology services to all levels of management, particularly in the finance, retail and telecommunications sectors. Her interventions have included culture and stress audits, individual and team development initiatives, and the bespoke development of psychometric questionnaires and interpretive reports.

Prior to joining OPP in 1999, Penny taught at the University of Tasmania, Australia, and then as a research psychologist at the University of Oxford. Her research has been published in both academic journals and the wider media, including The Sunday Times and The Financial Times. She also appeared on the BBC One programme What are you like? The Personality Test, fulfilling her aim to make complex psychological issues accessible and valuable to non-psychologists.

Completing her BA (Hons) at the University of Adelaide in 1988, she subsequently gained a scholarship to Nuffield College, Oxford, where she was awarded a D.Phil, followed by a Prize Research Fellowship. Penny has held several roles at OPP, including Principal Consultant, Head of Training, and Head of R&D.


Lucy McGee

Lucy joined OPP in December 2006 to take responsibility for OPP's marketing strategy and its execution in Europe. She is the global custodian of OPP's brands, and leads the Marketing team.

Over the course of her career, Lucy has been involved in a variety of marketing roles. She has worked in-house for companies such as Dun & Bradstreet, Logica and BT. She has also acted as a consultant to Coca Cola, BG, HM Treasury, RHM and GlaxoSmithKline.

She has a first-class Honours degree from Southampton University, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), having gained a post-graduate diploma specialising in strategy.

Lucy has been a speaker on talent and succession management and leadership development at major industry events, including the CIPD's retention and recruitment conference, Croners HR Update, the Confederation of British Industry's (CBI) HR Exchange, the HR Directors' Forum and Personnel Today's HR Directors Club. She has spoken about psychometric testing on Radio 5 Live, and leadership potential on BBC News 24's Business Review and BBC World Service Radio.

Lucy has co-written and published with the Institute of Directors (IoD) Developing Tomorrow's Leaders: A CEO's Guide to Succession Management and It's the People, Stupid - 20 Questions CEOs should be asking their HR Directors. She has also co-authored a number of research reports, including The Leading Edge - Leadership Potential from the Classroom to the Board Room, and has published numerous articles in the HR press, including HR Business, People Management and The Personnel Managers' Yearbook.
